What this site collects
Hot Springs Guide is built to use lightweight, privacy-first analytics (Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics) once analytics is configured for the production domain. Those tools do not set first-party cookies and do not collect personally identifiable information. They report aggregate page views, referring sources, country-level geography, and outbound link clicks. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.
When you click an outbound booking or affiliate link, the destination site (Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, GetYourGuide, or the operator) operates under its own privacy policy. We pass a tracking parameter (for example, ?ref=hotspringsguide-glenwood-direct) that allows us to attribute the click but does not include personal data.
If you contact us by email, we retain the email content for as long as needed to respond and follow up. We do not use email addresses for marketing without explicit opt-in.
Cookie use
This site does not set first-party cookies for analytics or advertising. Third-party scripts (the analytics provider, embedded affiliate widgets) may set their own cookies according to their own policies. We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or cross-site identity tracking.
Your privacy rights
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we collect virtually no personal data by default, requests for access or deletion typically resolve to no records held. Submit any privacy request to privacy@hotspringsguide.com.
Changes to this policy
Material changes to this policy will be noted at the top of the page with the effective date. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
